World wide health experts agree that we need more nutrients from fruits, vegetables and berries.

Every day there are articles in the print media and advertisements on tv promoting the importance of consuming more of these food sources to provide us with the all important micro-nutrients required to achieve and maintain optimal health.

It is widely known that the minimum recommendation called for is 7-9 servings per day, however over 90% of the population are not getting anywhere near this amount daily and the statistics of our health underline this issue.

With so many products available it is challenging to find one that you can trust in and have faith it is doing the job. This is where research comes in and you want to see independently produced, gold standard, primary research. Research which has gone through the peer review process and is published in leading medical and nutritional journals worldwide.

Synthetic Vitamins vs Whole Food Sources

Synthetic vitamins have been proven to cause more harm than good, yet millions of people take them everyday. Chances are that if you bought your vitamins off the shelf at the grocery or pharmacy, they are synthetic. Even many of the products on shelves at 'health food stores' are synthetic products. And 90% of synthetic vitamins pass right through you! That's why we talk about people having expensive urine.

Worst case scenario: The vitamin may even grab the needed co-factors from the body's own organs, bones, muscles and other tissue. In other words, your body starts eating itself!!! Over time, this depletes the body, causing disease and degeneration. What a paradox that the very product consumers bought for improving health was actually destroying health!

Whole food ingredients naturally will be easily absorbed by the body. They are made from pure raw materials that contain the hundreds of "co-factors" the body needs to absorb vitamins, while synthetic ingredients do not. They solve these problems while providing vitamins the body can absorb. They naturally contain the hundreds of "co-factors" (other nutrients the body needs to ABSORB vitamins). When co-factors are missing, as they are in synthetic vitamins, the body may treat the vitamin as a foreign substance and eliminate it or pass it whole. In some nursing homes, the staff actually refers to these as bed pan pellets!

Low prices sell. The demand for vitamins has grown, so inferior or even damaging products get marketed to consumers who only look at the price tag. Colourful labels often even claim to be 'natural when they are anything BUT natural. The manufacturing process for making vitamins from the pure raw materials of real whole foods is much more expensive that that of synthetic vitamins.

There are few government controls on vitamin manufacturing. Manufacturers are allowed to fly under the radar with false claims and slick marketing . Price is naturally a HUGE a factor in selecting a product, and consumers will often opt for the lower priced vitamins not knowing that synthetic vitamins are mostly useless and might even be risky.

The bottom line is profit not quality. If they can get away with creating a low cost product and charge an amount the health conscious market is willing to bare, this is what they will do.
